Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are seeking a Plasterer to join Sheffield City Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in Sheffield.

Key duties include calculating materials, preparing backgrounds, mixing plaster and applying wet finishes to interior walls and ceilings. Essential requirements are plasterer experience and a Basic DBS.

• Calculate materials: measure areas and estimate plaster, render and supplies.
• Prepare backgrounds: clean, level and repair surfaces before application.
• Mix Materials: blend plaster, cement or render to correct consistency.
• Apply wet finishes: smooth coats of plaster to walls and ceilings.

• Calculate materials: Measure areas and estimate the exact amount of plaster, render, and supplies needed for each job.
• Prepare backgrounds: Clean, level, and repair uneven surfaces, filling cracks or holes before application.
• Mix Materials: Blend plaster, cement, or rendering mixtures to the correct consistency using hand tools or electric mixers.
• Apply wet finishes: Smooth one or more coats of plaster onto interior walls and ceilings.
