Job role: Plasterer

Location: Covering South East London

Salary: £36,000 + van and fuel card

Job type: Permanent

I am currently seeking a skilled, hard-working, and reliable plasterer to contribute to the upkeep and improvement of housing properties. The ideal candidate will have experience working in social housing properties and will be trustworthy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct plastering and drywall repairs and installations in social housing units.
  • Perform multi-trade tasks, including basic carpentry, painting, and minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Collaborate with a diverse maintenance team to address various property maintenance needs.
  • Inspect and assess housing units for maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
  • Must be able to use a PDA or have strong IT skills.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or training in plastering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in plastering and general maintenance, preferably in a social housing or property management setting.
  • Ability to perform multi-trade tasks, including basic carpentry, painting, and minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in plastering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
