Plasterer needed for Social Housing Kitchen & Bathroom Planned Maintenance Scheme

Location: St Helens, UK
Contract Type: Temp-to-perm (12 weeks), with Van & Fuel card
Hourly Rate: 19.00 per hour (PAYE Umbrella)
Start Date: Immediately

We are currently recruiting a Plasterer for one of our Social Housing clients based in St Helens, working on a Kitchen & Bathroom Planned Maintenance Scheme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced plasterer looking to secure a 12-week temp-to-perm role, with the potential for permanent employment after the initial contract.



Role Overview:

As a Plasterer, you will be a key part of a team working on refurbishing and maintaining kitchens and bathrooms across various social housing properties.

Your role will involve plastering, skimming, and other essential finishing work to ensure high-quality standards are met in each property.

This is a rewarding role where you'll contribute directly to improving the quality of homes within the local community.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms
  • Repairing and skimming damaged plaster surfaces as part of refurbishment projects
  • Ensuring all plastering work is completed to a high standard, in line with project specifications
  • Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean, safe working environment on-site
  • Collaborating with other trades and teams to ensure efficient completion of maintenance schemes
  • Managing time effectively to meet project deadlines and deliver results within the required timeframe


What We're Looking For:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • NVQ in Plastering or equivalent certification
  • Demonstrable Plastering experience, ideally with experience in Social Housing projects
  • Social Housing experience, particularly in refurbishment or maintenance works (e.g., kitchens and bathrooms)
  • A full, valid Driver's License (required for access to various properties)
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional attitude to work
