Salary up to £32,478.60 per annum plus company vehicle and fuel card

Full time – Permanent, 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday

We currently deliver over 25 Planned Works Contracts, providing high-quality housing maintenance solutions across the UK. With 30 years of delivering market-leading repairs, refurbishment, fire safety and building maintenance services, Mears is trusted to deliver more than 6,000 housing repairs daily to more than 1,000,000 homes nationwide.We provide tailored rapid-response and planned housing maintenance services to meet the needs of over 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations partners.

About the Role:

Due to a contract win and expansion we are looking for an experienced Plasterer to join our team in Glasgow. The main role will be to complete reactivate maintenance on our social housing property works. The jobs may include small minor repairs to full plastering on houses and rooms getting them ready for new tenets to move into. You will be part of a local team undertaking high standard Plastering repairs and refurbishment activities to Housing properties, delivering best in class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.

Role Criteria:

  • Extensive experience in plastering
  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Flexible and happy to travel
  • Social housing experience is preferable but not essential
  • Plasma trained is preferable but not essential

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
