We are looking for an experienced plasterer to join our team in Folkestone. Working with Folkestone Council, we undertake a variety of residential works, including work in occupied, void properties, and communal areas. Our team produces work to the highest standards and delivers outstanding customer service.

The role involves all aspects of plaster repairs, ranging from minor patch repairs to entire room replastering. This includes removal, patching, boarding, over-boarding, thermal boarding, and plastering.

External works such as sand and cement renders are also part of the role.

Ensure that the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with service users, clients, and internal/external stakeholders. This includes maintaining appearance, company ID, vehicle condition, and high standards of Health & Safety. It may be necessary to obtain customer feedback upon completion of works.

Process all activities electronically using a handheld device (PDA), including worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence, van stock replenishment, booking leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risk assessments, and method statements.

Role Criteria:

  • Able to complete a clean job
  • Good knowledge of all plastering backgrounds, including damp issues
  • Experience with hacking off, bonding, multi-finish, dot and dab, ceilings, working safely around textured surfaces, and damp proofing
  • UK full driving licence
  • Provide own hand tools

All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work in the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.

All roles are subject to relevant DBS/security checks before employment begins.
