Fleming-Agri Products is currently recruiting for a Plasma & Tube Laser Operator to join our team. Fleming Agri Products is a leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery based in Newbuildings, Northern Ireland. The company promotes a value for money product portfolio that is sold extensively throughout the UK, Ireland, and several significant export markets including France, and New Zealand. All manufacturing facilities are sited in Newbuildings with metal processing and finishing the primary activities.

About The Role

The successful candidate will work as part of the production team, operating our production machines (plasma cutting and tube laser machines) always ensuring that standards and efficiency are maximised at all times. A high level of health and safety is required.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. To oversee the plasma and tube laser machines ensuring standards are maintained and productivity is maximised

2. Loading of sheet metal onto the plasma

3. Unloading parts and ensuring parts are clean, free from dress and in the correct quantity

4. Checking part quality is maintained to required specifications

5. Basic machine maintenance

6. Ensure that all Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to in line with the company’s health and safety policy and procedures

7. Highlight any issues of health and safety to your team leader immediately

8. Promote a safe and healthy working environment for all members of staff

9. Ensure all required PPE is worn and maintained in good condition

10. Maintain high levels of standard, quality, and efficiency throughout your work

11. Report non-conformances to management

12. Clearly communicate with team leader on all aspects of the job

13. Maintain a clean and tidy work area

The Fleming Agri factory is based in Newbuildings, North West Northern Ireland. The purpose built factory was established in 1983 on a modest half acre site.Over the years the factory has had several expansion developments including a £1.1m expansion which was completed in 2013.
