Job summary

Tesco Technology seeks a Portfolio Tooling Manager to own the Planview tooling landscape within the PPMO. You will translate business needs into product capabilities, prioritise the backlog and coordinate releases with sponsors and end users.

You will lead governance, data quality and integration work, build a community of practice with Planview users, and act as the primary contact for tooling support across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for enterprise applications.
• Strong experience administering Planview or similar PPM/portfolio platforms.
• Experience managing roadmaps, backlogs and stakeholder requirements.
• Understanding of project management, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience leading releases, testing and change implementation.
• Knowledge of portfolio/program/project management and PMO operating models.
• Experience managing user access and governance controls.
• Proven ability to drive platform adoption, training and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the tooling vision, strategy and roadmap aligned to PPMO priorities.
• Act as Product Owner for Planview and prioritise the platform backlog.
• Engage with sponsors, stakeholders and end users to capture requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Lead release planning, prioritisation and deployment coordination.
• Develop improvements to meet evolving business needs and automate data flows.
• Manage tooling administration, including access, licences and security roles.
• Drive continuous improvement to maximise platform value and user experience.
• Lead testing and validation of new functionality before release.
• Maintain project boards and governance to support portfolio delivery.
• Ensure data quality and governance across the platform and monitor controls.
• Support reporting, dashboards and KPI requirements for governance decisions.
• Collaborate with finance, governance and IT teams to improve data usage.
• Provide user training, demonstrations and materials to drive adoption.
• Build a community of practice and liaise with external Planview users.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on roadmap developments and support requests.
• Define and manage integration requirements with connected systems.
• Lead root cause analysis to improve stability and performance.
