The Role of Plant Transport Manager:

• Ensure all transport movements of plant equipment are undertaken within the region and nationally are executed in an efficient manner.
• Working within compliance, health & safety to ensure all drivers adhere to company and legal guidelines.
• Review performance and carry out KPI's and driver audits using telematics data, preventing accidents & investigating infringements, advisories & training gaps.
• Liaise with yard, workshop, operator and fleet management departments to ensure all depot targets are achieved regarding transport.
• Manage the purchase and sales of company vehicles.

Candidate:

• Well organized individual working closely alongside team members and Director.
• Knowledge of plant hire, operated plant & the transport industry and legislation is preferred.
• Previous roles may include plant manager, regional transport controller, transport coordinator, transport administrator, or transport manager.
• Experience in managing and training a team of drivers, including recruiting additional staff as needed.
• Previous experience of coordinating haulage and transport legislation is essential.
