Job description

Join Altilium's team at our new EV Battery Recycling Plant in Plymouth, where we recover valuable minerals from used electric vehicle batteries. You'll help move the plant from its build phase into full operation, from setting up and testing equipment to running chemical processes.

You'll operate and maintain machinery, troubleshoot issues, handle materials safely, and support the production of high-quality recovered metals. Full training provided.

Main Tasks
  1. Assist with installation, setup, and maintenance of equipment
  2. Operate and monitor processing equipment
  3. Carry out checks and routine maintenance
  4. Handle and transfer chemicals safely (PPE provided)
  5. Follow strict health & safety procedures, including COSHH
  6. Support emergency response when required

Hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing settings

Understanding of health & safety protocols (COSHH, risk assessments)

Comfortable using PPE, including breathing apparatus

Forklift/telehandling skills an advantage

Adaptable and proactive, willing to learn new processes
