A leading company in water operations is seeking a Plant Operator to oversee laboratory tests and ensure safety protocols. This full-time position involves supervising staff and maintaining effective relationships. Ideal candidates will have a Class B Water/Wastewater Certification and strong communication skills.
This is the advanced journey-level class in the Plant Operator / System series. Positions at this level are distinguished from other classes within the series by the level of responsibility assumed and the complexity of duties assigned, including performing supervisory activities and participating in developing goals and procedures for water and wastewater treatment activities. Employees at this level are required to be fully trained in all procedures related to assigned area of responsibility and have the appropriate certification. This is a full-time, non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis.

Qualifications
Have the ability to descend and climb a maximum of 30 rungs to access system pump stations.
Have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
Have adequate respiratory function to utilize a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus.
Have the ability to detect and differentiate colors.
