Job summary

Cummins Ltd is looking for a motivated apprentice to join the administration team in Huddersfield, UK. You will learn how a global organization operates while supporting Materials, Operations and Plant Support with routine admin tasks and documentation management.

The role includes Kanban administration, updating business systems, generating reports, and assisting with invoicing and purchasing. Completion of the Apprenticeship Training Programme is part of your duties and personal development.

Qualifications

  • Attend induction sessions and complete all required assignments within the timeline.
  • Build up your portfolio of evidence throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Access tutor/assessor support as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Materials, Operations and Plant Support teams with routine administrative tasks.
  • Create, maintain and distribute operational documentation with proper retention and information management.
  • Support Kanban administration activities, update business systems, and maintain records and databases.
  • Produce and distribute routine reports, performance information and plant communications.
  • Assist with invoice reconciliation and administrative purchasing across operational teams.
  • Gather, collate and validate data for improvement projects to support decision-making.

Cummins are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join their team specializing in administration for their plant support function in Huddersfield, UK. During your apprenticeship, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential! In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Supporting Materials, Operations and Plant Support teams with routine administrative activities, helping operational teams focus on higher-value work.
  • Creating, maintaining and distributing operational documentation, while ensuring compliance with document retention and information management requirements.
  • Supporting Kanban administration activities, business system updates, and maintaining records, trackers and databases.
  • Producing and distributing routine reports, performance information, and plant communications, including visual management materials and signage.
  • Supporting invoice reconciliation and administrative purchasing activities across operational teams.
  • Gathering, collating and validating data for improvement projects and operational activities to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

As part of your contract of employment completion of the Apprenticeship Training Programme forms part of your duties as well as helping your personal and professional development; the requirements to complete the programme areas follows:

  • Attend and be punctual for all induction session, lessons, work-based training/support sessions.
  • Complete all required assignments by the required timeline.
  • Build up your portfolio of evidence on-going
  • Access support from your tutor/assessor as and when required
  • Access support from tutor/assessor/manager as and when required
