Job summary

Carmichael UK in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Plant Supervisor to join a major long-term infrastructure project. You will supervise plant operations, coordinate safe use of equipment and manage daily activities to align with the construction programme.

The role requires Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision, Level 2 NVQ in Plant Operations, Safety Critical Medical, and BPSS clearance before starting on site. Overtime opportunities are available on this long-term project.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising plant operations on construction or civil projects.
• Strong communication and team management skills.
• Proven understanding of safe plant operations and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise plant operations and personnel across the site.
• Coordinate safe and efficient use of plant and equipment.
• Manage daily plant activities in line with the construction programme.
• Ensure operators are competent and authorized.
• Provide daily briefings and support safe systems of work.
• Monitor plant movements and activities across site.
• Collaborate with site management, logistics and construction teams.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Report plant issues and operational concerns to site management.
