Job description

Bam Ritchies is currently recruiting a Plant Supervisor based at our depot in Godstone, Surrey. The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated, able and competent to service and repair a variation of plant and equipment, and also resolve any mechanical issues.

Your mission

As a Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Carry out workplace risk assessments with team.

  • Communicate and lead daily briefings.

  • Travel to and from projects as required.

  • Review workplace activity plans with team.

  • Solve problems with team, record outcomes and identify best practice.

  • Carry out and record regular plant inspections on ACC.

  • Provide clear and concise data, reports, and records.

  • Lead the familiarisation of others in the safe operation and correct maintenance of Equipment.

  • Carry out regular workplace health and safety inspections.

  • Promote the development of innovative ideas to improve safety and efficiency.

  • Supervise the modification and development of Equipment in accordance with Change Control Procedures.

  • Plan daily/weekly work programmes with teams.

  • Plan and organise resources to meet workload in collaboration with operational teams.

  • Provide advice to others.

  • Support, mentor and develop others.

  • Maintain personal diary/CPD record/CV to demonstrate career development.

  • Carry out other relevant duties as requested from time to time.

Who are we looking for?
  • Engineering Technician Member IOM³ - advantageous.

  • Equivalent NVQ level 3 in Plant Maintenance/Repairs.

  • Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations – Supervising Lifts - advantageous.

  • First Aid at Work.

  • CPCS – various categories.

  • CSCS/PTS.

Previous Experience:

  • Comprehensive range of experience demonstrated by CPD and CV.

  • Valid Clean Driving License.

  • Have a good awareness and understanding of health and safety.
