Job summary

Jobsinkent in Tunbridge Wells is recruiting an experienced Plant Supervisor to lead a busy concrete plant. You will ensure production runs smoothly, meet quality standards and coordinate batching and deliveries with drivers and dispatch teams.

The role requires strong planning, excellent communication, IT skills (Excel/Word) and a solid commitment to Health & Safety. Previous ready-mix or manufacturing plant experience is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in ready-mix concrete industry is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of customer requirements and service expectations.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operation of a busy concrete plant and ensuring production runs smoothly.

• Supporting the wider operation to maintain high levels of customer service.

Plant Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Supervisor to join a well-established and growing organisation within the building materials industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual with previous experience working within a plant-based environment, ideally within the ready-mix concrete industry.

Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operation of a busy concrete plant and ensuring production runs smoothly.
• Producing concrete in line with required quality standards and customer expectations.
• Liaising regularly with drivers and dispatch teams to coordinate efficient batching and deliveries.
• Monitoring plant performance and responding quickly to any operational issues.
• Managing stock levels, plant equipment and delivery records.
• Ensuring accurate records and documentation are maintained.
• Taking responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental standards across the site.
• Building positive working relationships with drivers, colleagues and customers.
• Supporting the wider operation to ensure high levels of customer service are maintained.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a similar plant, concrete, aggregates or manufacturing environment.
• Experience within the ready-mix concrete industry would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A good understanding of customer requirements and service expectations.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
• A loading shovel qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

£50000 - £55000 per annum + Company Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
