What’s On Offer
Salary: £31,000pa
Hours: 7-5 Mon-Fri, 7-12 Saturday
Contract: Permanent, 45 hours
Location: Cannock

Purpose of the role
To work closely with team members in producing concrete in a safe, clean environment and to ensure excellent customer service. Responsible for maintaining the first impression regarding cleanliness of yard, plant, and facilities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Operate the batching plant to company standards and maintain site presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the site and facilities
  • Accurately batch concrete/mortar following procedures when trained
  • Ensure plant is stocked with approved materials
  • Check stocks daily and verify monthly with the plant supervisor
  • Carry out routine maintenance and inspections, record actions
  • Report any defects or issues affecting safety, environment, quality, or service
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, quality, and fraud prevention policies
  • Liaise with the Order Office and plant staff to meet customer requirements and ensure quality and output standards
  • Inspect and maintain plant and equipment regularly
  • Manage waste disposal, water discharges, and dust emissions per environmental procedures
  • Ensure sufficient materials are available for production
  • Inspect incoming materials weekly
  • Enforce safety instructions for employees, contractors, visitors
  • Optimize plant and equipment use through appraisal and review
  • Comply with trade practices laws and company policies
  • Update knowledge and attend training as needed
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
