Job description

FM Conway is currently looking to recruit a Plant Supervisor to join our Aggregate and Asphalt (A&A) division. Based at our Heathrow Asphalt plant, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating the asphalt plant, mobile plant, and weighbridge functions, as well as coordinating shifts and supervising the site.

Responsibilities of the Plant Supervisor include:

  1. Supervising and motivating the operational team to achieve excellence and continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.
  2. Managing stock levels of fuel, raw materials, and constituents.
  3. Ensuring mixing plans are executed effectively and cost-efficiently.
  4. Reporting critical issues promptly and accurately.
  5. Creating task-specific risk assessments and safe working practices.
  6. Supervising contractors in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
  7. Carrying out weighbridge functions, managing daily deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with team members to meet customer needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

Applicants should have experience with asphalt plant manufacturing systems, a good understanding of health and safety legislation, and experience operating loading shovels, telehandlers, and weighbridges. A strong customer focus, attention to detail, and leadership skills are essential.
