What You Will Do:

  1. Lead and inspire the Quality function, ensuring compliance with product and process quality standards.
  2. Set clear goals for all team members and hold Quality Managers to account for performance in their respective areas.
  3. Develop and oversee the Quality Management System, ensuring it aligns with regulatory standards and legal requirements.
  4. Drive corrective and preventative actions using Non-Conformance Reporting tools to maintain high-quality standards.
  5. Ensure the Quality Management System is sufficiently robust to maintain compliance with relevant standards, and that internal and supplier audits are completed as scheduled. Maintain calibration and metrology standards.
  6. Ensure quality strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs, including price, quality, and delivery targets.
  7. Deploy quality teams and processes across the business, ensuring their integration within project teams.
  8. Ensure industry-standard quality planning tools are prepared and managed appropriately within all Quality Assurance teams.
  9. Collaborate with senior management to deliver successful programmes and exceed customer expectations.
  10. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimise performance and outcomes.
  11. Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  12. Contribute to overall business strategy and support deployment through the functions.

What You Will Bring:

  1. Proven experience in Quality Management and leading multi-functional teams.
  2. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/EN9100 standards and quality assurance principles.
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders within the UK defence environment, particularly across Army and DE&S.
  4. A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in a highly regulated industry.
  5. Knowledge and experience using SAP (highly desirable).
  6. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
