Job summary

Etex Group is seeking a Plant Process Manager for its Bristol site. You will lead a team of Quality and Process Engineers to drive safety, product quality, reliability, and environmental performance while delivering continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include leading root cause analysis, analysing production data, managing trials, and implementing local and group manufacturing strategies to optimise plant performance and overall efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Chemistry, Industrial Technology or related field.
  • Proven leadership in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting with team development.
  • Experience driving process improvement, cost reduction and performance optimisation.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or other CI methodologies.
  • Strong safety, quality and environmental standards knowledge.
  • Experience analysing production data and leading improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Process and Quality Engineering team to high performance.
  • Drive CI initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, cost, energy and productivity.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolve process and quality issues.
  • Monitor process performance, analyze data, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage process trials with proper planning, documentation and evaluation.
  • Support local and group manufacturing strategy implementation.
  • Ensure standards, specifications, documentation, and databases are current.
  • Provide process leadership across the site for operational decisions.
  • Develop and deliver process training to build capability.
  • Promote safety, quality, environmental compliance and CI culture.

Are you passionate about driving operational excellence in a manufacturing environment? As our Plant Process Manager, you will play a key role in safety, product quality, reliability, efficiency, and environmental performance across our Bristol site. Leading a team of Quality and Process Engineers, you'll deliver continuous improvement initiatives, optimise manufacturing processes, reduce costs and energy consumption, and support problem-solving activities that enhance plant performance, product quality, and overall operational effectiveness.

What you'll do
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Process and Quality Engineering team, creating a high-performing and collaborative culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, cost, energy performance, and overall plant productivity.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to resolve process and quality issues.

  • Manage process trials, ensuring activities are properly planned, documented, and evaluated.
  • Support the implementation of local and group manufacturing strategies and improvement projects.
  • Ensure process standards, specifications, documentation, and databases are maintained and up to date.
  • Provide process expertise and leadership across the site, supporting operational decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Develop and deliver process training to build capability across the manufacturing teams.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.
What you'll bring
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, Chemistry, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment, with a strong focus on team development.
  • Experience driving process improvement, operational excellence, cost reduction, and performance optimisation.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, and environmental standards within manufacturing.
  • Experience analysing production data and leading improvement projects to deliver measurable results.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems such as ERP or MES platforms.
