Job description

Job Title: Plant Operators/Labourers

Here at The Mick George Group, we are looking for Plant Operators and Labourers in the Northamptonshire area to join our team.

Job Overview

Operate plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and profiling of ground to the required level. Perform other duties necessary for the day-to-day running of the quarry/landfill as directed by a site supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities
  1. Carry out daily/weekly maintenance checks of mobile and fixed plant to ensure standards are met.
  2. Perform maintenance tasks such as greasing and cleaning equipment.
  3. Report any defects to site management or workshop using the R2C app.
  4. Control product quality and follow plant GPS to achieve required ground levels.
  5. Log working hours and production data accurately on timesheets and logs.
  6. Inform management of any unsuitable materials for production.
  7. Understand procedures related to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  8. Highlight training needs to line management, especially for legislative requirements.
  9. Conduct themselves professionally and maintain site cleanliness to ensure safety.
  10. Maintain regular contact with site management.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Experience on Dozer, 360 Excavator, or Dump Truck (minimum 5 years).
  • Hardworking nature.
  • Experience with GPS machine control.
