Job description

Here at The Mick George Group, we are seeking Plant Operators/Labourers in the Cambridgeshire area to join our team.

Job Overview

Operate plant and machinery to assist with mineral retrieval and ground profiling to the required level.

Perform other duties related to the day-to-day running of the quarry/landfill as assigned by a site supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities
  1. Carry out daily/weekly maintenance checks of mobile & fixed plant to standard.
  2. Perform maintenance tasks such as greasing and cleaning of equipment.
  3. Report defects to site management using the R2C app.
  4. Dispatch and control quality of product, following plant GPS to achieve target ground levels.
  5. Perform any other quarry-related duties as requested.
  6. Accurately record working hours and submit weekly timesheets.
  7. Log production data, plant stoppages, breakdowns, and logs correctly.
  8. Inform management of unsuitable materials for production.
  9. Understand and follow procedures for breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  10. Highlight training needs to line management, especially for legislative requirements.
  11. Conduct oneself professionally, ensuring safety and site cleanliness.
  12. Maintain regular contact with site management.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience with Dozer, 360 Excavator, or Dump Truck (minimum 5 years).
  • Hardworking attitude.
  • Experience with GPS (machine control).
