About the role: Astute's Renewables Team is partnering exclusively with a key business and influential player in the UK Anaerobic Digestion market. The company is building an asset in Northampton and is looking to assemble a team for the plant. We seek motivated individuals who want to contribute to the UK's energy transition, preferably with experience in the anaerobic digestion sector.

Responsibilities and duties:
  • Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will:
  • Operate the anaerobic digestion plant daily.
  • Feed the plant consistently using a Telehandler.
  • Follow instructions and contribute to operational and personal targets.
  • Use the SCADA system to control and operate the plant (training can be provided).
  • Maintain site health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections and log relevant information.
  • Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment.
  • Assist the Maintenance Engineer with planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Suggest continuous improvements to the Plant Manager.
  • Participate in an on-call rota (additional pay applies).
  • Other duties as required.
Professional qualifications:
  • Telehandler license or demonstrable safe experience in operating such equipment.
  • A recognised engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in plant operations; anaerobic digestion experience is a plus but not necessary.
  • UK driving licence.
Personal skills:
  • Problem-solver and self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Hard-working and comfortable working outdoors.
