What you’ll be doing as our Plant Operator:

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures producing high quality parts.
  • Completing processes from needling to melt Infiltration.
  • Loading, operating and unloading a variety of furnaces.
  • Champion continuous improvement and provide feedback to internal departments on the manufacturing process.
  • Process jobs as scheduled on the internal database as well as entering operational data regarding quality and output.
  • Action Quality Issues and support all Non-Conformance meetings.
  • Support product and process optimisation in line with the quality needs of the business.
  • Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards.
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Plant Operator:

  • Proven background in a large batch Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of working to high specifications.
  • Competent working to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify and utilise best practice methods for working tight tolerances.
  • Able to work to tight time lines and multi-task in a busy manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in operating in a 5S environment.
  • Able to work to high safety and quality standard, with a variety of equipment and materials.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and on your own with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
Need to have:

  • Experience working to SOP’s.
  • Manufacturing and machine operation experience.
  • A multidisciplinary approach to work.
  • 5S experience.
  • A delivery focused approach to quality of work.
  • The ability to work at a pace whilst in pressure situations.
Nice to have:

  • Furnace Operating experience.
  • Basic lean manufacturing principles.
  • Continuous improvement.
  • RCCA’s.
  • MS Office skills.

Shifts:

Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm

Salary:

£31,050 - £33,050 (including shift allowance and annualised hours)
