• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Interest in construction materials industry preferred.
• Experience with Forklift trucks and mobile plant is advantageous, training provided.

Owing to its remote location, the role does come with some challenges, but the views more than make up for it! At Welsh Slate, we offer a truly different quarrying role. Key Responsibilities

You will primarily operate a fixed production plant and a variety of mobile plant to aid in the safe undertaking of our activities, including coating and bagging of slate granules. You’ll be an ideal fit for this position if you have a great sense of humour and don’t mind getting your hands dirty!

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A full UK Driving Licence – owing to the location of the quarry, you will need to be able to drive your own vehicle or otherwise be able to reliably get yourself to work on time.
• A genuine interest in the construction materials industry.
• Experience of operating a Forklift truck and other mobile plant (Loading shovel, articulated Dump Trucks, Excavators) in a Quarry environment would be advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.

The current working pattern for this role is days; however, there may be future requirements to work shifts.
