Plant Operator
Salary – £13.50 per hour
Hours – 30 or 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location – East Lothian, EH21 8PZ

As a Plant Operator at FCC Environment, you will operate mobile plant equipment to control and move material around the site, supporting recycling and environmental goals. You’ll also assist with traffic management, conduct safety checks, and help maintain high site standards.

We are looking for a safety-conscious and practically minded operator who has experience using mobile plant machinery (loading shovel, telehandler, or excavator). You will be a team player with good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.

What will you be doing?
• Operating mobile plant to control site materials efficiently
• Managing site traffic safely and effectively
• Assisting with maintenance of the RDF plant and mobile equipment
• Conducting daily plant checks and reporting defects
• Maintaining site documentation in line with IMS/SFS standards
• Supporting recycling targets and process improvements
