Position: Plant Operator - Glasgow

We are seeking a Plant Operator to join our production team. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring product quality in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner by executing company policies and procedures. The role involves operational activities, in-process monitoring, and housekeeping across all site areas, from raw material intake to product packaging, including the stock yard and warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Own in-process monitoring and housekeeping across the site, from raw material intake to packaging and warehouse areas.
  • Manage final/repacked product sampling, re-sampling, packaging, weight checks, labelling, storage, and disposal of waste; record stock information.
  • Transport products between warehouses, manage waste disposal, and check forklift operations, including fuel levels.
  • Oversee raw material and packaging material intake.
  • Operate production equipment according to OEM specifications, maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare systems for operation by following setup procedures.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain quality standards throughout all work processes.

Requirements

  • Ability to work shifts per the shift pattern.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred 2-4 years of chemical operational experience.
  • Knowledge of production machinery and operational requirements.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform operational tasks.
  • Good communication, teamwork, time management, and flexibility.

  • Annual salary of £22,605.00 plus a £7,138.42 shift allowance during probation.
