Company Description

MRD Plant, based in Leicestershire, provides nationwide services to the recycling, construction, quarrying, and mining sectors. The company offers operated and self-drive plant hire, including excavators, loading shovels, mobile crushers, mobile screeners, and specialist mobile plant attachments. MRD Plant also handles contract crushing and screening, general earthworks, landfill and restoration work.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Plant Operator located upon various sites primarily in the greater midlands area. The Plant Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery and plant equipment, performing routine quality control checks, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, and adhering to safety protocols. Experience working within the quarrying or recycling sector in particular with mobile crushers and screeners is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Plant Operations and Machine Operation
• Skills in Quality Control and Maintenance
• A full UK driving licence
• A CPCS or NPORS qualification is required with the following categories (it is not essential to hold all of these categories but is advantageous) 360 excavator above 10t, wheeled loading shovel, mobile crusher, mobile screener
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols and regulations
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in recycling, construction, quarrying, or mining

Employment

• PAYE employment is preferable but a self employed basis can be considered
