About The Role

Location: Clifton Marsh Wood Processing, Freckleton, Preston

• Salary £12.77 per hour / £31,650.23 per annum
• Working 47.5 hours per week
• Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday / You will be required to work every 3rd Saturday
• Full PPE provided

What will I be doing?

You will carry out duties individually, or as a member of a team, for operations to control, transfer and stockpile waste & recyclables at a busy material transfer station.

The role will involve:

• Operating mobile and fixed plant, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Managing traffic, such as guiding tipping vehicles.
• Operating the weighbridge and accurately recording the weight and other specified details of vehicles both entering and leaving the site.
• Cooperating directly with customers and members of the public, providing excellent customer service.
• Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role, including undertaking first aider / fire safety duties on site.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a working knowledge of the site licence / permit system and who will work to ensure site operations meet the standards required. You'll need a flexible approach, working in a challenging environment, expected to provide cover for annual leave and on occasion help cover weekends, as well as:

• Operational experience and current licences for loading shovel, 360 tele-handler and forklift
• You'll have the opportunity to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, maintenance of site equipment, infrastructure and operation of site machinery.
• Prior waste / recycling or similar process environment highly advantageous
• Excellent understanding and approach to health & safety
