Job summary

Perfect Placement in Petworth, West Sussex, seeks a Plant Mechanic to service and repair plant machinery and commercial vehicles, with both workshop and mobile duties, prioritising safety and quality workmanship.

This full-time role offers Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30, with up to 30 days of leave including holidays, opportunities for Irtec/HGV/forklift training, and occasional overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a similar role as Plant Mechanic or HGV Technician.
• Full UK driving licence; HGV or plant qualifications desirable.
• Strong organisational skills and flexible working hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct repairs, servicing, and maintenance on plant machinery and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults accurately and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs and servicing tasks.
• Work independently or collaboratively with team members.
• Support the mobilisation of mobile service vans and workshop operations.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
