Job Summary/Objective

The Plant Manager oversees all facility operations including production scheduling, manufacturing, maintenance, warehousing, logistics, and transportation. This role ensures safety, quality, and efficiency while leading continuous improvement initiatives to meet safety, quality, cost, and service goals.

Essential Functions
  1. Facility Operations
  • Lead production, staffing, and collaborate with maintenance.
  • Manage warehousing, logistics, and transportation.
  • Oversee onsite maintenance, coordinate with engineering.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality production and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop technical skills for associates to improve throughput and reduce waste.
  • Motivate staff to identify and implement improvements.
  • Set performance targets with VP of Operations.
  • Execute continuous improvement projects.
  • Establish standards for new products and equipment.
  • Implement metrics, SOPs, and KPIs.
  • Safety and Quality
    • Manage inventory and product loss control.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Cost Responsibility
    • Prepare and manage budgets.
    • Control costs.
  • Organizational Development
    • Develop high-performing teams.
    • Lead site leadership and promote food safety culture.
    • Foster ongoing development and succession planning.
  • Miscellaneous
    • Work with JD Edwards ERP system.

    • Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
    • Advanced degree preferred.
    • Bilingual in Spanish.
    • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
