Salary: $160-200k DOE

Seeking a Plant Manager for a Manufacturing Plant in the York-Lancaster PA area.

Essential Functions of the job:
  1. Provide strong leadership to the Plant--Key Leadership Team (Direct Reports) and all employees. (Approx 250 employees)
  2. Ensure the correct leaders are in position and establish key metrics for each report that will drive performance to meet plant financial targets. (Must be very metric-oriented)
  3. Develop yearly budgets, annual operating plans, 3-5 year strategic plans, and personnel development plans with staff.
  4. Identify and scope out main continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Safety, Productivity/Cost, Quality, Delivery, and Morale, with a strong Lean Manufacturing background.
  5. Communicate with the plant at least monthly about key initiatives and hold weekly meetings with staff to ensure commitments are on track.
  6. Demonstrate a commitment to Safety, leading by example and prioritizing safety in all communications.
  7. People Developer: Build leadership within the team by setting clear expectations and supporting subordinates to meet objectives, fostering team growth.
  8. Preferably have a background in Engineering and experience in various responsible roles within manufacturing, including Engineering, Operations, and Materials.
  9. Must be financially savvy with full P&L responsibilities.
  10. Provide the corporate team with monthly performance numbers in the required format and on time.
Desired Skills, Education, Experience, and Qualities:
  • BS in Engineering or a Business-related degree
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing principles, including leading kaizen events, 5S/6S, TPM, SMED, Standard Work, Kanbans, etc.
  • Strong financial acumen
  • People-oriented with a hands-on leadership style, delivering a strong presence in the plant.
