Job description

Elevation Recruitment Group are exclusively partnered with a Global Manufacturer in their search for a high-calibre Plant Manager for their flagship site. This is a pivotal role for the business, needing a candidate who will drive immediate improvements in safety, quality and output while laying the foundations for structural change.

As a Plant Manager your key responsibilities will include:

  • Held full operational responsibility for a large-scale manufacturing site.
  • Managed a team of over 300 permanent site staff, with a strong focus on developing the leadership team.
  • Drove improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across all operations.
  • Established and maintained robust standards and behaviours relating to Safety and Quality.
  • Provided technical expertise and supported engineering-led problem solving, working closely with production technologies such as injection moulding machines, extrusion lines, and assembly operations.
  • Collaborated with Group leadership to support planned investments, technology upgrades, and long-term capacity expansion.

To be successful in this role of Plant Manager you will need to be able to demonstrate skills and experiences within:

  • Transformation and Turnaround experience leading a team of over 300+ staff
  • Maintaining high levels of automation
  • Experience of sitewide improvement of OEE
  • Proven experience of Senior Site Leadership with hands on ability to understand issues from operators up
  • Ideally a background within Plastics or Building Materials
