  • Managing the complete plant lifecycle, including decisions on whether equipment should remain on hire, be purchased, transferred, or off-hired based on operational and commercial requirements.
  • Providing full management and control of all Doka and RMD equipment to maximise utilisation, minimise hire costs, and ensure sufficient equipment is available to support the programme.
  • Reviewing all suppliers hire reports on a regular basis, identifying unnecessary hire costs, arranging timely off-hires, and assessing opportunities to purchase equipment where this represents better value for the project.
  • Managing tower lights, temporary power generators, and all associated electrical plant to ensure equipment is required, fully utilised, and hire periods are effectively controlled.
  • Maintaining full visibility and control of all excavators, telehandlers, cranes, MEWPs, and other plant, including their locations, utilisation, availability, and the activities they are supporting.
  • Producing regular plant utilisation and performance reports to support operational planning and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
  • Working closely with Operations, Logistics, Temporary Works, and Engineering teams to ensure plant requirements are planned in advance and available to support the construction programme.
  • Working closely with Commercial and Procurement teams to ensure that all records are up to date and accurate for audit purposes.
  • Developing robust plant management procedures, ensuring accountability, improving supplier performance, and strengthening commercial control across all plant operations.
  • Monitoring plant performance, maintenance schedules, statutory inspections, servicing, and compliance to ensure all equipment remains safe, available, and fully compliant.

  • Supporting future project growth by developing a scalable plant management strategy capable of supporting the significant increase in resources required for the WRB Main Works and subsequent phases.
  • Ensuring that parent company plant procedures are followed at all times.
