Job summary

Randstad are partnering with Ford Halewood Transmissions to recruit a Maintenance Crafts Worker for the Effluent Process Plant at Ford Halewood. The role involves maintaining and repairing equipment across the effluent plant, supporting comfort cooling systems and assisting in other indirect areas as required.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Electrical or Mechanical maintenance professional who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and continuous improvement in a hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Completed Electrical or Mechanical Level 4 Apprenticeship.
• Experience in a process plant environment.
• Experience with pumps, motors and associated control systems.
• Electrical, mechanical, PLC and refrigeration maintenance experience.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Flexibility to support different plant areas when needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out preventative maintenance on plant machinery and related equipment.
• Work across electrical, PLC, refrigeration and mechanical systems.
• Take and analyse effluent samples.
• Review maintenance data to plan repairs and overhauls.
• Overhaul machine parts to reduce downtime and avoid replacement costs.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance and OEE.
• Investigate breakdowns and implement root-cause fixes.
• Support maintenance improvement schedules and 5 Why analyses.
• Participate in Kaizen activities focused on safety, environment, cost reduction, and improvement.
• Maintain plant cooling systems and support other indirect areas.
