Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in North Somerset is seeking an Engineering Supervisor (Feed Manufacturing) to lead a skilled maintenance team and sustain optimal plant performance through proactive planning and strong safety practices.

You will work with production to minimise downtime, manage CMMS records, supervise maintenance engineers, and coordinate external contractors while ensuring compliance with inspections and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an engineering supervisory or team leader role.
• Recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Experience in feed manufacturing or a similar process industry.
• Experience with PLC-controlled production equipment.
• Electrical fault-finding skills in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of steam, boilers or compressed air systems.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Practical problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of maintenance engineers
• Planning and coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance activities
• Driving improvements in equipment reliability and plant performance
• Managing maintenance schedules and engineering records using a CMMS
• Working closely with production to minimise downtime and improve efficiency
• Investigating recurring equipment issues and implementing long-term solutions
• Coordinating external contractors and ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standards
• Managing engineering stores and spare parts to support efficient maintenance operations
• Supporting compliance with statutory inspections and site engineering requirements
• Providing technical support during breakdowns, including participation in an on call rota
