Job summary

Biogen (UK) Ltd in Northamptonshire invites applications for a Plant Maintenance Engineer at Westwood AD Plant, Rushden. You will support the Site Manager with safe site operation, manage the PPM system and coordinate planned downtime for major equipment overhauls.

Qualifications

• Desirable experience with environmental, safety and quality management systems.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems is essential.
• Full UK driving licence; able to operate a telehandler and obtain licence.
• Shift pattern: 7 days out of 14, weekends, rota, remote monitoring of the AD Process.

Job Description

You will join us as a Plant Engineer who will support the Site Manager with the safe operation of the site, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System, planned downtime of key equipment for planned, safe and cost-effective overhaul.

Plant Engineer Requirements

• The successful candidate will be qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally with experience from a related process industry. Experience in engineering, PLC controls or electronics would also be an advantage.
• You will ideally hold a qualification or possess experience in materials handling, confined spaces, working at heights and first aid. Training will be provided to achieve in-house WAMITAB competency standards and a NEBOSH general certificate, if these are not already held.
• You will have the ability to follow procedures and protocols, experience of cost control and working within budget, and adapt to changing circumstances effectively.
• Be self-motivated, flexible and a great team player but also confident to work on your own.
• It is desirable that you have experience of environmental, safety and quality management systems.
• Experience of working with planned preventative maintenance systems is also essential for this position.
• Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is required. You will have the ability to operate a telehandler and obtain a telehandler licence.
• The role will work a shift pattern of 7 days out of 14 including weekends, call out on a rota basis, and remote monitoring of the AD Process.

up to £46,000 per annum, dependent on experience + allowance + overtime + bonus
