Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Machinery Fitter to join our client, a company that hires plant equipment to the construction and agriculture industries. You will be part of an established company, responsible for maintaining plant hire equipment and machinery ranging from small air compressors to dumper trucks and excavators. The role involves working at the local branch and on-site at customer premises, so a full driving license is essential due to travel requirements.

Responsibilities
  1. Repair, service, and inspect plant equipment and machinery on customer sites and within the depot.
  2. Service, repair, and diagnose faults in equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
  3. Adhere to company procedures and ISO9001 quality standards.
  4. Perform PUWER and LOLER inspections and compliance checks.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum five years' experience as a plant machinery fitter.
  • Knowledge of brands such as JCB, John Deere, Hamm, and Doosan.
  • Strong understanding of engineering, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Qualification in plant maintenance, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Valid UK driving license.
