Job summary

Office Angels in Canterbury, UK is seeking a Plant/Machine Operator for our client in Chartham, Kent. Starting at £14.00 per hour with progression up to £16.87 per hour based on experience and development.

This is a permanent position with a 5 out of 7 day shift pattern. The role involves grading line start-up checks, printing and distributing daily production plans, monitoring safety/compliance, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the grading area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grading line start-up checks and ensure equipment is ready for production.
• Print and distribute daily production plans to relevant departments.
• Monitor staff compliance with company procedures, food safety, and health & safety standards.
• Ensure the grading area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
• Set up and prepare grading jobs on company systems, ensuring all parameters align with production plans.
• Monitor product quality, sizing, packaging, and customer specifications throughout production.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to maintain standards and make adjustments where required.
