A leading plant hire company in the UK is looking for a Plant Maintenance Labourer to travel to customer sites for essential machinery maintenance, perform safety checks, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of plant machinery and mechanical skills, as well as a full UK driving licence. This role is vital in supporting construction projects and requires strong communication and time management skills.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with plant machinery, heavy equipment, or agricultural machinery.
  • Good understanding of lubrication, machine checks, and preventative maintenance.
  • Basic mechanical skills and ability to spot early signs of wear or damage.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • CSCS card or equivalent site safety qualification.
  • Experience working on construction or infrastructure projects.

Overview

Plant Maintenance Labourer - HS2

Flannery Plant Hire is a leading provider of plant hire and specialist attachments to the construction industry across the UK and Ireland. With a comprehensive fleet of innovative machinery, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and meeting our clients' project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer sites to carry out daily/weekly greasing and lubrication of plant machinery.
  • Perform machine walkarounds and safety checks in line with company and manufacturer standards.
  • Record inspection results and report any defects or potential issues to the workshop team.
  • Top up fluids, replace minor wear parts (filters, bulbs, wiper blades, etc.), and perform other light maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organised service vehicle and keep accurate records of parts used.
  • Build positive relationships with site teams and represent Flannery professionally at all times.
Skills & Experience
  • Essential:
