Location:

GB-Wainscott-RSME Islingham Farm (or as required within the United Kingdom and/or overseas).

Role Requirements (to either hold or be working towards as directed by Line Manager):

• National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) Instructor
• NVQ Assessor - Plant Operations
• Professional Teaching Certificate
• CAT B, C, G & H driving licences
• Attend Defense Trainer (residential) course (DTc)

Specific Duties:

• Train MOD Regular and Reservist personnel at the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME)
• Ensure the operation and maintenance of plant equipment or Engineer Construction Plant in line with Course Documentation
• Responsible for health, safety, and welfare of personnel under training
• Perform tasks commensurate with grade

Dynamic General Duties:

• Prepare and maintain course documentation
• Mark, assess, and provide feedback on student performance
• Ensure serviceability and maintenance of equipment used by students
• Maintain and report on equipment, including receipt, fault reporting, and return to Babcock
• Monitor and record fault rectification
• Submit reports on students and courses as directed by Line Managers
• Perform tasks assigned by Line Managers, including standing in or acting as an operator in demonstrations
• Follow health, safety, and environmental policies for personal welfare

Strategic Management/Communication Excellence:

• Communicate honestly with Line Managers
• Manage personal time and attendance
• Meet deadlines and targets set by Line Managers
• Work within departmental budgets and assist in cost control
• Implement departmental changes and liaise with other departments
• Support the department in achieving the Business Plan and strategic objectives

Reviews & Planning Commitment:

• Participate in reviews and appraisals
• Complete and discuss training needs with Line Managers
• Evaluate training effectiveness and apply new skills

Responsibilities Showcase:

• Conform to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Undertake additional duties as agreed
