Job summary

TipTopJob in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an organised Operations and Business Development Manager to lead day-to-day plant hire, haulage and HGV operations. You will coordinate bookings, ensure maintenance, and liaise with drivers and customers to keep operations running smoothly.

The role combines hands-on management with a strong growth element, including developing customer relationships, promoting services via social media and digital channels, and driving business expansion for the plant

Qualifications

• Organised, commercially minded and highly proactive.
• Willingness to manage day-to-day operations and develop business.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the plant hire and haulage business.
• Manage bookings for plant, machinery, low loaders, HIAB/crane services and haulage work.
• Maintain an accurate forward schedule of all bookings and contracts.
• Coordinate deliveries, collections and movements of hired equipment.
• Ensure safety and compliance across fleet operations.
• Invoicing and contract administration: issue invoices and monitor payments.
• Support business development by building relationships with customers and promoting the business.
