Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd is seeking an organized Operations & Business Development Manager to oversee plant hire, haulage and HGV operations in Hemel Hempstead. The role combines operational control with proactive business development to grow client relationships and opportunities.

You will coordinate bookings, ensure compliance and maintenance, and work closely with the maintenance engineer to keep machinery and vehicles operational. A commercially minded approach and strong communicator are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the plant hire and haulage business.
• Manage bookings for plant, machinery, low loaders, HIAB/crane services and haulage work.
• Maintain an accurate forward schedule of all bookings and contracts.
• Coordinate deliveries, collections and movements of hired equipment.
• Ensure the correct equipment, vehicle and driver are allocated to each job.
• Communicate job details clearly to drivers, operators, customers and management.
• Monitor ongoing contracts and ensure customer requirements are being met.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and resolve operational problems quickly.
