Responsibilities

As a Plant Fitter, your key responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of plant machinery both in the workshop and on-site.
• Conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
• Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on machinery.
• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
• Providing excellent customer service when working on-site with clients.
• Keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

• Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including diggers, excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• A full UK driving license (essential for on-the-road work).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering (preferred but not essential).

• Spending part of your time in the workshop, conducting repairs and maintenance on machinery.
