Pod-Trak Ltd is recruiting experienced Plant Fitters to join their Plant Team with positions available in Uxbridge and Manchester. The role involves the inspection, maintenance, repair, and fault-finding of a varied fleet of construction and rail plant.

Successful candidates will carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs while ensuring all work is done safely. Qualifications include NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, and the ability to diagnose faults effectively is crucial. A company vehicle and overtime opportunities will be provided.

Qualifications

Uxbridge, West London and Irlam, Manchester

We are looking to recruit experienced Plant Fitters to join our growing Plant Team, with positions available in Manchester and Uxbridge.

The role will involve the inspection, maintenance, repair and fault-finding of a varied fleet of construction and rail plant, including excavators, dumpers, trailers, RRVs and specialist attachments. The successful candidates will work both in the workshop and on-site as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment.
• Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical and electrical faults.
• Attend site breakdowns and carry out repairs.
• Complete inspection and maintenance records accurately.
• Prepare and mobilise plant for projects.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance.
• Experience maintaining and repairing construction plant.
• Strong hydraulic, mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Construction Plant Maintenance.
• CPCS Competent Operator Card.
• Welding experience.
• LOLER inspection knowledge.
• Experience working on rail plant and RRVs.
• Familiarity with modern plant diagnostic systems.
