Job Title: Plant Fitter/Engineer

Banner Plant, part of Henry Boot, is a leading land, property development, home building, and construction business in the UK. We operate from seven regional depots in the north of England, providing modern construction products and services for over 65 years.

We are seeking a Plant Fitter/Engineer to join our friendly team at the Derby depot. The ideal candidate will have experience in plant maintenance and some knowledge of access equipment, though this is not essential.

The Role

You will be responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing our fleet, which includes mechanical plant equipment from 17m telehandlers to Bomag 55 rollers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and repair faults or damage to fleet equipment, updating service records accurately.
• Estimate and advise on repair costs.
• Update workshop on stock items.
• Assist with deliveries and collections as needed.

About You

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• Experience or knowledge of plant maintenance operations.
• Ability to inspect, test, maintain, and repair plant equipment.
• An NVQ in plant operations or equivalent is advantageous, or a desire to attain this qualification.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
