Job Title - Plant Engineer

Location - Edinburgh

Working Hours - Mon - Fri, 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

Salary - £28,589 per annum, pro rata

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Plant Engineer to oversee the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of plant hire equipment in the region. The role ensures all work is performed safely and complies with Speedy safety standards.

On a daily basis, you will work directly with other engineers in the depot, liaising with drivers and the hire desk team to prioritize repairs and maintenance effectively.

What you’ll need:
  • Proven ability to test and repair plant equipment to high standards, preferably within the hire industry or similar
  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in a relevant discipline
  • A technical/engineering background is desirable
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Ability to support your team in delivering our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
