Plant Engineer - Carlisle

Job Title: Plant Engineer

Location: Carlisle

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 07:30 - 17:00 (42 hours per week)

We are seeking a Plant Engineer responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing plant hire equipment in the region, ensuring all work is safe and complies with Speedy safety standards. Daily tasks include collaborating with other engineers, liaising with drivers and the hire desk team to prioritize repairs and maintenance effectively.

What You’ll Need:
  • Proven ability to test and repair plant equipment to high standards, ideally within the hire industry or similar
  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in a relevant discipline
  • Technical/engineering background (desirable)
  • Flexible approach to working hours
