Job summary

Capenti is seeking a Plant Director UK for an Ashford-based repacking site in the food production sector. The role reports to the UK Management Team and commands full responsibility for a 96 FTE operation across five production lines, focusing on safety, quality, and cost performance.

The Plant Director will drive efficient processes through a highly engaged team, align production with orders and deadlines, and collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, HR, and finance peers to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience leading production/engineering teams in manufacturing.
• Ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
• Willingness to relocate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workforce in Production, Technical and Engineering.
• Drive cost reduction and productivity across all product lines.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed.
• Set ambitious production goals and communicate to stakeholders.
• Maintain production documentation and processes.
• Develop and utilise systems to manage activities, analysis and documentation.
• Create schedules to ensure optimal staffing and production flow.
• Ensure final products meet quality and customer specs.
