What you'll be doing

  • Arranging the hire and off-hire of plant, prioritising the use of internal fleet assets wherever possible.
  • Coordinating and tracking plant breakdowns, liaising with suppliers, workshops and operational teams to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Monitoring ongoing requests to ensure agreed service levels are achieved and customer expectations are met.
  • Processing purchase orders accurately and ensuring goods and services are delivered to specification.
  • Resolving order and invoice queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting fleet performance and utilisation reporting.
  • Working closely with suppliers, depots and colleagues across the business to maximise plant availability.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and service delivery.
  • Providing administrative support to the wider plant function and taking ownership of tasks through to completion.
Who we're looking for

You Will Ideally Have
  • Experience in plant hire, fleet management, procurement, customer service, operational support, or a similar coordination role.
  • Knowledge of plant and equipment operations, although this is not essential.
  • Experience processing orders and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and build positive working relationships.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • A professional and accountable approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and continuous improvement.
