Job summary

VG Charles & Co is seeking a Planning Solicitor in South Gloucestershire with 1–4 years’ PQE to join a well-regarded practice. You will work alongside an experienced planning specialist, developing your expertise across rural land, development proposals, infrastructure and environmental matters.

You will handle a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious planning matters, advise on applications and enforceable obligations, and build strong client relationships as you progress in

Qualifications

• 1–4 years’ PQE in planning law.
• Experience advising on planning legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical, research and drafting skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advising on planning applications, objections, appeals and enforcement matters.
• Dealing with permits, lawful development certificates and planning obligations.
• Advising on highways agreements, infrastructure matters and renewable energy projects.
• Handling matters involving listed buildings, conservation areas and compulsory purchase.
