Job description

This L500-ranked firm is seeking its next NQ Planning Solicitor to join its vibrant Glasgow office.

You will be working closely with two recognised Partners on complex Planning and Environmental matters, with daily interaction with high-profile clients.

Role
Upon joining the firm, you will become part of a renowned, L500 ranked Planning department. You will work alongside leading Partners with 30+ years of combined Planning experience, giving you accelerated industry insight.

While working alongside the Partners you will assist with a variety of planning and environmental issues such as onshore wind projects and Section 36 applications. You will be expected to work directly with high-profile clients and will be meeting these clients in person across Scotland on various site visits, planning inquiry meetings, BD events and conferences.

Alongside this, you will be tasked with working on planning issues related to housing, infrastructure, transport and retail projects, offering you a diverse workload ands the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of sectors.

A problem-solving attitude is essential for this role, as some planning and environmental issues can be complex and need a creative mindset to navigate these. Having experience in a Planning and a Litigation seat would also be beneficial.
